Leadership Development

Leadership demands fortitude and courage.

In our dynamic, fast-paced world, developing the capability of your current and future leaders is among the most important tasks of any organisation.

Leadership is about getting things done, empowering and influencing others to achieve the best outcomes for themselves and their organisation.

Developing leaders is not simply about sending aspiring leaders on a training course It involves coaching, support and follow-up to ensure that new learning and skills are embedded in day-to-day practice.

We tailor leadership development to the specific needs of the individual and organisation using experiential learning methods to create transformational change.

Executive Coaching

Coaching is a powerful process designed to bring about change.

Best practice in executive coaching addresses the goals of the organisation and individual.

Among its many definitions, executive coaching is described as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential” (ICF https://coachfederation.org/about/).

There are many different approaches to executive coaching. Mostly executive coaching is about listening, analysing, asking the right questions, evaluating options, and agreeing on an action plan. Follow-up is a critical part of the process.

In the space between action and reflection, executive coaching helps senior leaders navigate our complex and turbulent world.

Reflective Practice

Reflective practice involves taking a step back to review your actions, assumptions and decisions and identify what can be done better or differently.

Two ideas have shaped much of our approach to reflective practice. Reflection-in-action involves thinking on your feet and making small changes as you act. Reflection-on-action takes place at a later time and considers what happened and how it can be improved.

Reflective practice is much more than thoughtful practice or reviewing past actions. It is a deeper examination of your assumptions and values within the wider social context in the service of continual learning and growth.

The ‘reflective practice retreat’ is designed to develop your reflective ability and contribute to increased effectiveness.

“Great leaders are the individuals who create the right culture, develop their people and empower their team to achieve; not those who believe they can do everything on their own.”
